The edits

One gym, three ways to cut it.

Code 3 Athletics is a group fitness gym in Hawthorne. Every ad below started as footage the gym shot on its own phones. We cut it three ways and ran the ads against each other to see which one people answered.

The eight-second high-five clip won. It’s still the ad every new one has to beat.

    The community clip

Eight seconds, no words. A line of high-fives runs across the gym floor, then a hand slaps the QR code on the rack. You get the feel of the place before you’ve read a thing.

    The first-class story

A newcomer’s first class, told in on-screen text: nerves, a partner’s new PR, then the group photo. It signs off with “See you soon, South Bay.”

    The coach on camera

Coach Tim talks straight to the camera. Captions light up word by word, a squishy-ball gag stops the scroll, and it ends on one ask: send me a DM.

The chat

What happens when someone taps the ad?

Most of the campaigns we run are message campaigns. The button on the ad doesn’t go to a website. It opens a chat with you on Instagram or Messenger, with a few questions already written so nobody has to think of what to say.

We write those questions, the replies that go back instantly, and the reminders that get people through the door. Here’s one conversation from Code 3’s campaign.

  1. From the ad

    They tap a question

Three questions sit under the ad, ready to send. One tap and you’re talking.

  2. Seconds later

    An answer goes straight back

Every question has a reply written ahead of time. It answers, then asks for a day, even at 11pm.

  3. Same evening

    You lock in a time

Once they pick a day, the reply confirms it and says what to bring. Everything else can wait until they walk in.

  4. Day before

    A reminder goes out

A booking only counts once they show up, so the same chat keeps going.

  5. Morning of

    One more that morning

Short and friendly. By now they’re talking to a person they’re about to meet.

Do I need any experience? 🤔

  2. Seconds later

Not at all! Coach Tim coaches all levels - complete beginners to people training for HYROX and marathons. The only requirement is showing up. 💪 What day this week works for you to come check it out?

  3. Same evening

    Thursday at 6?

  4. Thursday 6PM is perfect, your spot is locked in! Wear something comfortable and bring water. First class is on us.

  5. Day before

Can't wait for you to see Code3 in action during your free trial! We're expecting you tomorrow at 6.

  6. Morning of

Today's the day. See you soon!

What’s included

We set up everything around the ad, too.

A good ad can still lose people between the tap and your front door. So setup covers the whole path: the profile people check after they see the ad, the replies they get, and the reminder the night before.

  • Your profile tidied up for new visitors: bio, highlights, and prices where people look for them.
  • Audiences built from your own customer list, with current customers left out so you don’t pay to reach them.
  • Two ad sets running side by side, so you learn which audience answers.
  • Five versions of the ad copy for each ad set.
  • Instant replies, booking replies and reminders, written in your voice.
  • Every conversation the ads start, tracked with what it cost.

How it runs

What the four weeks look like.

We check the campaign every day and change something every week. Every two weeks you get a short report in plain numbers: what each conversation cost, which ad is winning, and what we’d change next.

  1. 01

    Week 1: launch

We gather your footage and your offer, cut the videos, write the copy and replies, and switch it on.

  2. 02

Week 2: cut what’s not working

The first numbers show which ads and audiences are pulling. We pause the rest.

  3. 03

    Week 3: back the winner

More budget goes to the ad starting the most conversations, and new copy gets tested against it.

  4. 04

    Week 4: final push

We sharpen the message for the last stretch, then send a report on what worked and what to run next.

Pricing

A flat $650 for the campaign. Videos are quoted one at a time.

Editing depends on what you bring us, so you’ll see a price for each video before we start.

  • Campaign

    $650

Setup, ad sets, copy, reply scripts, four weeks of management and the reports. Same price every campaign.

  • Video edits

    Quoted per video

A quick re-cut of a clip you have costs less than a new story built from raw footage. You’ll see the price first.

  • Ad budget

    You set it

It goes on your own card, straight to Meta, so every dollar of it buys ads. None of it passes through us.

Questions

What owners ask us first.

What kind of Meta ads do you run?
Mostly message campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. Instead of sending people to a website, the ad’s button opens a chat with your business, with questions ready to tap. They suit any business where a conversation comes before the sale.
Do I need professional video?
No. Every ad on this page was cut from footage Code 3 Athletics shot on its own phones. Send us what you have and we’ll tell you what we can make from it, and whether it’s worth shooting more.
How much do Meta ads cost with LA TechSpace?
The campaign fee is $650. That covers setup, ad copy, reply scripts, four weeks of management and the reports. Video edits are quoted per video, and your ad budget is separate: you pay it to Meta directly from your own card.
How soon will I see results?
Conversations can start in the first week. We give the ads about a week of data before cutting what isn’t working, and by the end of week four you’ll know what each conversation cost and which ad to keep running.
What do you need from me?
Your footage, your current offer, and your customer list if you have one, so we can find people like your customers and skip the ones you already have. We’ll also need access to your Facebook and Instagram business accounts.
Do you only work with gyms?
No. Code 3 is the example here because we’ve run its ads since January 2026. The same setup works for any local business that books customers through a conversation, and we’ve edited videos for other clients, including HB Tax CPA.

Your turn

Got a video on your phone?

Send Nana a clip and tell her what you sell. She’ll tell you how we’d cut it and what a campaign would cost.

She replies to everything herself. Usually same day.
